Chr. Hansen develops and manufactures world-class, natural solutions and ingredients within the food, nutritional, pharma, and agricultural industries.
The Challenges
My main challenge was to fully comprehend the needs of their clients and stakeholders while mapping their value proposition. This was particularly challenging because the program operates on a B2B2B2C model, which involves multiple factors and agents. Moreover, as a BioTech firm dealing with complex technologies, the program had to accommodate different groups of users ranging from scientists and researchers to operators and salespeople. Despite these challenges, I was able to develop a comprehensive program that considered all factors, designed user-friendly interfaces, and provided an optimal user experience. As someone who's more of a design genie than a BioTech guru, it was definitely a challenging yet exciting experience for me!
To keep up with Chr. Hansen's sprint-based methods, I took on the responsibility of preparing the design for the next phase. This involved taking ownership of crucial functionalities in the project backlog to ensure smooth progress.
In a short period of time, we manage to create workshops involving stakeholders from the client's company as well as the people who are going to use the final product/service from Denmark, Holland, and France.
Together with the product owner, I would sketch out low-fidelity prototypes and later bring them alive in a clickable prototype.
Using Power Bi, a business analytics tool that aims to provide interactive visualizations, as the dashboard I conceptualized how the improved data flow could benefit different roles in the company while easily creating automated weekly reports.
We designed the program in Sketch App and made a high-fidelity prototype in InVision so we could test the concepts with expert users at Chr. Hansen.
